A critical diesel emissions component used to support regulatory compliance.
Introduction
A NOx sensor, or nitrogen oxide sensor, is used to detect nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel vehicles and support compliance with emissions regulations. Most engines use two NOx sensors: one upstream and one downstream.
As emissions regulations become stricter, accurate NOx detection has become increasingly important. The NOx sensor downstream of the SCR catalyst is used to monitor catalyst performance. Many NOx sensors can also measure O2 concentration, similar to a wide-range air-fuel sensor.
Application
This sensor can simultaneously measure the concentration of and NOx in the exhaust. By enabling NOx control in lean burn and diesel applications, the sensor contributes to better fuel economy and cleaner air.
Features
- Real time, simultaneous measurement of NOx and O2 concentration
- Fast response
- Fully sealed waterproof design does not require external reference air
- High water resistance
- High toxicity resistance
- Early activation
